Photos that speak: Fuck your fountain. Fuck your tree. Fuck voter suppression. Fuck your labels. Fuck your stereotypes. Fuck your hatred. Fuck your restaurants. Fuck that dude. Fuck police brutality. Fuck white supremacy.
I have nothing left to say.
The pictures they don’t show in our US History books.
And two of these pictures aren’t very old either. One was taken in 2012 I think? (Not sure).

Today my friend wanted to go to the tip to get an old bicycle to use for her art project as we have an exhibiton coming up.
I was chatting to an old bloke who worked there as I noticed there was a huge pile of books, being a book fan I obviously had a little rummage, and found a few books above (wanted so many more but couldn’t carry them) And then he literally showed me this container that was probably the size of my house and said “this whole thing gets completely filled up with books, and then they go get shredded”
It was actually quite incredible. Yet I’m shocked so many people throw away books! There were some really interesting ones in there.

“So my amazing daughter, Emma, turned 5 last month, and I had been searching everywhere for new-creative inspiration for her 5yr pictures. I noticed quite a pattern of so many young girls dressing up as beautiful Disney Princesses, no matter where I looked 95% of the “ideas” were the “How to’s” of how to dress your little girl like a Disney Princess…We chose 5 women (five amazing and strong women), as it was her 5th birthday but there are thousands of unbelievable women (and girls) who have beat the odds and fought (and still fight) for their equal rights all over the world”

Many powerful photographs have been made in the aftermath of the devastating collapse of a garment factory on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. But one photo, by Bangladeshi photographer Taslima Akhter, has emerged as the most heart wrenching, capturing an entire country’s grief in a single image.

(… sorry about the watermark, but still thought these were worth sharing … couldn’t locate the artist’s website, therefore the link is to the Traquair Gallery which carries this series)
